We may not be face to face right now, but if you are reading this, I am immediately feeling intensely exposed <bites nails>. It's a little uncomfortable, but we're on the net so I'm just gonna 'suck it up buttercup' as they say ;).

Expanding on that, my name is Wenona. Kiwi, living in Brisbane and nanna to the boy behind the name 9Decor. My grandson and I share a birthday - 9 December, so it seemed opportune to incorporate that somehow.

I like chocolate for breakfast and iced coffee for dinner. I strongly dislike mess, so my OCD is in constant spasm while I work, but I distract it by binge watching netflix, prime and disney. I juggle employment around my family and obviously, this creative outlet.

I initially started upcycling as a sustainable cost-effective option to furnishing my house. I continue to do it...because I enjoy the creativity and uniqueness of how an updated furniture item can really showcase the style of a home.

I do have an affinity for retro, mostly because I love the unique shapes and generally they are lighter for me to manoeuvre, but I adore all styles and aesthetics...especially when we are able to create something purposeful through the sustainability of upcycling.

I enjoy mixing old and new, updated and repurposed with a modern twist, to create spaces that are comfortable, practical and inspired.
